Save up to 25% upfront on thousands of sports gear and equipment
Coming to you in 2021, the Vitality Active Gear benefit will replace the HealthyGear, Shoe Booster, Device Booster and Bike Booster benefits.
With the new benefit, Vitality members can save up to 25% upfront on thousands of Vitality Active Gear items at Sportsmans Warehouse and Totalsports.
How it works:
- Activate Vitality Active Rewards on the Discovery app and select Vitality Active Gear for a 10% discount.
- Find out your Vitality Age online and complete a Vitality Health Check to increase the discount to up to 25%.
- Redeem your Vitality Active Gear reward in the Discovery app by selecting Vitality Active Rewards > Vitality Active Gear.
The discount applies to the first R2 000 you spend on sports gear and equipment every month.
Plus, now you can enjoy the best of both worlds when shopping for Vitality Active Gear. With the new benefit, you no longer need to choose a preferred partner for the year. Instead, when redeeming your Vitality Active Gear reward on Vitality Active Rewards, you can simply select whether the upfront discount for that month should apply to purchases at Sportsmans Warehouse or Totalsports.
Save up to 75% upfront on a new fitness device and Nike gear
Take your training to new heights, monitor your heart rate, track your distance and achieve new personal bests with the latest fitness devices and gear from our partners.
From early next year, you can save up to 75% upfront on the latest qualifying Fitbit, Garmin, Huawei, Polar, Samsung or Suunto heart rate fitness devices from Sportsmans Warehouse and Totalsports, as well as up to 75% upfront on Nike shoes or sportswear at Nike stores, Sportsmans Warehouse and Totalsports stores across the country (excluding Nike Factory stores and Nike.com).
How it works
- Activate Vitality Active Rewards on the Discovery app and select Vitality Active Gear for a 10% discount.
- Find out your Vitality Age online and complete a Vitality Health Check to increase the discount up to 25%.
- Get active and achieve your weekly Vitality Active Rewards exercise goals to increase the discount up to 50%.
- Bank with Discovery to increase the discount up to 75%.
- Redeem your Vitality Active Gear reward in the Discovery app at any time by selecting Vitality Active Rewards > Vitality Active Gear.
The discount applies to the first R4 000 of the retail price of a fitness device, R2 000 of the retail price of a pair of Nike shoes, or R1 000 for Nike sportswear. You can generate rewards to the value of R6 000 every 52 weeks.
Exercise your way to an even bigger discount
By getting active and achieving your weekly Vitality Active Rewards exercise goals, you can increase your discount up to 50%. Your discount increases by 5% for every five Vitality Active Rewards exercise goals you achieve. You don’t need to achieve your exercise goals in a row to get the discount.

Boost your upfront discount by up to 25%
Qualifying Discovery Bank clients receive an additional discount of up to 25% based on their card type and colour, their qualifying spend and their Vitality Money status.
This means, you could save up to 75% upfront on a new fitness device and Nike gear if you're a Vitality Health member with a qualifying Discovery Bank product and Vitality Money.
